A Podiatrist is a highly trained professional, specialising in foot care and the treatment of problems affecting the lower limbs. They examine, diagnose, treat, prevent and rehabilitate foot ailments through a range of treatment methods including biomechanical, surgical and more.

With only one pair of feet to last a lifetime, it’s important to take good care of them. Foot health problems can be experienced by anyone, from children to seniors. Podiatrists are often called upon by other physicians and health care professionals for consultation and treatment when foot issues arise.

1. Leading the Board and working collaboratively with fellow members to develop and execute the association's strategic goals and initiatives.
2. Representing PASA at various industry events, conferences, and meetings to champion the mission and objectives of the association.
3. Overseeing the planning and execution of educational programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance the professional development of podiatrists.
4. Advocating for the recognition and integration of podiatry within the broader healthcare landscape and promoting its importance in improving public health.
5. Engaging with members, stakeholders, and governmental bodies to ensure that the interests of the podiatry profession are well-represented and protected.
6. Nurturing relationships with potential partners, sponsors, and donors to secure funding for the association's initiatives.
Vice President

Lucas Breedt

1. Collaborating with the President and fellow Board members to develop and execute the association's strategic goals and plans.
2. Representing PASA at various events, conferences, and meetings, both nationally and internationally, tonpromote the association's mission and objectives.
3. Assisting in the organization and oversight of educational programs, workshops, and seminars for podiatrists.
4. Advocating for the advancement of podiatry as a healthcare discipline and ensuring its integration intonbroader healthcare systems.
5. Engaging with members and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback to continually improve the services and benefits offered by PASA.
6. Contributing to fundraising and sponsorship initiatives to support the association's activities.
National Treasurer

Karina Gajjar

1. Overseeing and managing the financial affairs of PASA, including budget planning, financial reporting, and fund management.
2. Collaborating closely with fellow Board members to develop and implement strategies that align with the association's financial goals and objectives.
3. Monitoring income and expenses, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained, and conducting regular financial audits.
4. Advising the Board on matters related to financial sustainability and offering insights to guide effective decision-making.
5. Contributing to fundraising efforts, sponsorships, and grant applications to secure resources for the association's programs and initiatives.
6. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards relevant to nonprofit organizations.

1. Maintaining accurate records of board meetings, including minutes, action items, and decisions made, and distributing them to board members in a timely manner.
2. Coordinating communications between the Board, PASA members, and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity in all interactions.
3. Assisting the President and Vice President in organizing and executing events, workshops, and seminars for podiatrists.
4. Managing administrative tasks, including membership records, correspondence, and documentation related to PASA's operations.

6. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to the association's activities.
